The Facebook Walk/Swim Group are organising a weekend away in Snowdonia on 29-31 July. The suggested routes shown on the map below would cover the Snowdon swims recommended by Daniel Stuart in “Wild Swimming” and those recommended by Kate Rew in “Wild Swim”.
Suggested places to stay are on the western side of Snowdon with a range of options marked on the map including Cwellyn Arms (room, camp or bunkhouse), Ty Mawr B&B and the Snowdon Ranger YHA.
The suggested routes rely on decent weather and may be shortened if too much rain, Wales can be very wet. Those who know the area will realise that the suggested Saturday route involves some scrambling in the central Cwm Brwynog-Glaslyn section, but although this is off the usual paths it comes from a walkers route called the Snowdon Girdle.
This is a Bank Holiday weekend so accommodation is likely to fill up early. If you are interested we suggest you contact Claire Towers as soon as possible.
