On Sunday 5th September Brockwell Swimmers will be following another one of the very enjoyable swim/walks from the Wild Swimming Walks book “28 lake, river and seaside days out by train from London”. This is a moderately long walk across stretches of East Anglian farmland, passing through several attractive villages with traditional thatched cottages, via Grantchester to Cambridge.
We will meet at London Kings Cross around 8:30am by the gate for the 09:03am train to Sepreth. Alternatively meet us earlier outside Brixton tube at 8am. Buy a day return ticket to Cambridge seems to be the cheapest option. We plan to head back around 4:00pm from Cambridge. Bring a picnic, something to drink, swimmers, and let’s hope for an Indian Summer.
