It was wonderful to welcome back local clubs Clapham Chasers, Crystal Palace Triathletes and Windrush to brave the barmy waters of Brockwell Lido for our annual Spring Club Relays on Thursday night 25th May.

Races started promptly at 8pm with water temperature at a predictable 18.5ºC, which is almost tropical for this outdoor unheated pool.

Early front runners were the triathlon athletes, but all it came to a nail biting finish on the last race. The final calculation had to be taken on times with just a .02 second between Windrush and the winning Crystal Palace team.

This is the second time Crystal Palace have taken the title which they now need to defend at the Brockwell Summer Club Relay happening Thursday 20th July. Local clubs are always welcome and can enter by clicking here.
