Brockwell Swimmers have been given the amazing opportunity of swimming the English Channel as a five person team relay (time slot 29th July to 3rd August). We will be accompanied by the pilot boat Gallivant skippered by Mike Oram who will choose the best time during this period to attempt the twenty and half mile crossing.

Each team member will swim for one hour in rotation; e.g. one hour swim then four hours rest.

This is an epic adventure. Around 1,000 relays and 8,000 swimmers have swam England to France compared with 5,788 who have climbed Mount Everest or one million who have run the London Marathon. No wetsuit. No floatation device. Just you, the sea, and your team for support.

Because of the Covid back-log channel swims are now fully booked until 2024 and it is only because of a late cancellation we have been given this unique opportunity. Cost will be £900 per swimmer and you need to act fast as team names must be submitted by the end of this month.
