The Facebook Swim/Walk group have planned a journey to the source of the Thames on Sunday 17th April…

This is a relatively long 12 mile walk with several swim/splash/bathing places on the way. As usual, you will need good boots, picnic and a sense of adventure.

The group are meeting at Hailstone Hill which will be the eventual finish of the walk. Some cars will be left there, while the rest will give lifts to all walkers to the start at Coates, near the source of the Thames.  The other alternative is to take the train to Kemble, but this is a 3 hour journey from London. Best contact Philip Nice, who is organising the event, and see if you can get a lift from someone.
